Dr. D. James Kennedy:
It is a great thing to be able to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to tell people the wonder of His love that took Him to Calvary, to describe the agony of His sufferings as He died in our place as our substitute and purchased for us eternal life. These are marvelous truths. But I want to tell you this: Just preaching it will not change the world. We must not only preach the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we must equip Christians to follow the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I uses to listen to him on TV Sunday mornings, but now can’t find his broadcast any more. Too bad, I really liked listening.

Very profound. The Word is of none effect if there is no evidence of changed lives. Faith without works is dead when there is no obedience to God’s Word. Much preaching today is not focused on sin and repentance and the signs of the soon coming of The Lord, but a social and self-centered gospel that focuses on living for the present.
