“All of history is moving toward one great goal, the white-hot worship of God and His Son among all the peoples of the earth. Missions is not that goal. It is the means. And for that reason it is the second greatest human activity in the world.”

Nonsense. People are moving away from the delusion, most of them are still too afraid to ‘come out of the closet’ for fear of reprisals by believers, who are capable of anything. Christianity is a beautiful scam that pays well, doesn’t it Sam!

Your comment begins very appropriately with the word “Nonsense”, because everything that follows is exactly that! You are simply throwing muddy accusations with the hope that something will stick to justify your faulty generalizations.
You speak of “fear of reprisals by believers, who are capable of anything” – however, the Bible tells us that all men are sinners and are capable of just about anything. Anyone may claim he is a Christian, but true Christians follow the way of Christ that is found in the Scriptures.
Christianity is not a scam, but the Bible warns Christians about those who would use the church for fraudulent schemes:
I am speaking to you plainly, because “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes …” (Romans 1:16 ESV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 ESV) The standard of Christianity is Jesus Christ, not just anyone who may claim to be a follower. There is salvation and eternal life in no other name but Jesus. I pray that someday you will come to the knowledge of this truth.
