Islam In A Hyper-Sexed Culture

Brent Nelson, writing for The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, has posted an interesting article titled – “What Relationship Exists Between Islam and Adultery?” Nelson writes:

“Marriage on earth is a reflection of God’s design for His Son Jesus Christ’s marriage to his Bride, the world-wide, history-wide Church. Marriage is God’s idea. It is symbolic, precious and fragile. Anytime anyone attacks it, they insult the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“So if a religion that opposes Christianity wanted to infiltrate and influence a powerful nation of the West, such as the United States, how would it proceed? One possibility is by undermining the preciousness of marriage – a sexually-pure, life-long relationship between one man and one woman.”

In much of Islam, marriage is an agreement between two parties. This may include multiple wives which the man can divorce by simply stating three times, “I divorce you.” The branch of Islam known as Shiite allows for temporary marriages for as little as a day. Some in the Shiite camp of Islam believe that this practice of “pious” immorality will be one way to convert many men in the West.

Democrats Want To Void Proposition 8 Vote

gayrightsbs6If at first you don’t succeed – go to court. Democrats want to overturn the Gay Marriage Ban vote in California. This is getting to be a habit with Democrats and militant radicals when a democratic vote does not go their way. Such efforts will eventually overturn the fundamental rights of citizens if they continue. Forty-three Democratic legislators, including leaders of the California Senate and Assembly, filed a brief Monday urging the California Supreme Court to void Proposition 8. Christians must be willing to make their voices heard if the secular progressive agenda is to be defeated.

Veteran’s Day Tribute

When America had an urgent need,
These brave ones raised a hand;
No hesitation held them back;
They were proud to take a stand.

They left their friends and family;
They gave up normal life;
To serve their country and their God,
They plowed into the strife.

They fought for freedom and for peace
On strange and foreign shores;
Some lost new friends; some lost their lives
In long and brutal wars.

Other veterans answered a call
To support the ones who fought;
Their country had requirements for
The essential skills they brought.

We salute each and every one of them,
The noble and the brave,
The ones still with us here today,
And those who rest in a grave.

So here’s to our country’s heroes;
They’re a cut above the rest;
Let’s give the honor that is due
To our country’s very best.

A Veteran’s Day Message from LtCol Oliver L. North, USMC (Ret.)

Oliver North

Oliver North

Dear Proud American,

Heroes aren’t athletes who set new sports records or Hollywood actors who make daring films or politicians who make bold promises. Heroes are people who place themselves at risk for the benefit of others.

My Heroes wear flak jackets, flight suits and combat boots, and we owe them a debt of gratitude. America enjoys freedom today because our true heroes, the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, are willing to sacrifice their tomorrows for us.

This Veteran’s Day, please pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women who wear our nation’s uniform. To all our active duty Armed Forces and all our veterans, we at Freedom Alliance salute you and thank you for your service.

Veteran’s Day Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

In every age, You call certain persons to defend the human family from oppression, tyranny, and evil. Since our founding as a nation “conceived in liberty,” countless American men and women have stepped forward to defend our country and many others from aggressors, and to liberate those held captive.

Today we revere all our veterans: those who rest in honored glory, those who still suffer from the wounds of war, and those who, with us, enjoy the blessing of living in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O God, thank You for the selfless sacrifice of these veterans and of their families. Help us to remember them, to pray for them, and to care for them. Please bring all our departed veterans into Your Kingdom, and console their families with Your unfailing love. Please heal our wounded veterans through the power of Your Holy Spirit, and give to all our veterans the satisfaction of having served You even as they have served us.

Thank You for Your gifts of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. May we fight to keep these rights available to all.

In Jesus’ name we pray.

Amen.
