If You Vote For McCain-Palin, You Must Be A Racist!

Liberal Art

"Liberal Art"

For a Presidential campaign that was supposed to have transcended “race,” we have certainly heard many accusations of “racism” recently. There have been subtle hints from the Obama campaign and the national media all along that if Obama lost this election; it would be because white Americans are still racists. It would, of course, have nothing to do with the fact that he is the most liberal-socialist candidate for President since George McGovern.

When Governor Sarah Palin criticized Obama for his long-time relationship with radical Weatherman bomber, Bill Ayers, Obama supporters and the left-wing media declared that the criticism was racially motivated. I guess someone forgot to tell them that Bill Ayers is white.

No one would deny that racism exists. It is evil. But it is a characteristic of some people found among any racial-ethnic group. It is morally wrong. But it is not only a black-white problem; it is a human being problem. For example: If you watched and listened to the tapes of Reverend Jeremiah Wright (especially if you are white), you were probably offended by the racist rhetoric used to describe “white” America. Senator Obama listened to Wright’s hate-filled speech for twenty years. Yet, the McCain campaign is not saying that Obama is a racist.

Now imagine the outrage most Americans would feel if it were discovered that John McCain had been a member of a church for twenty years that shared the beliefs of the Ku Klux Klan and taught the same things about blacks that Reverend Wright was saying about whites. McCain would have been run out of the Presidential campaign long ago. He would rightly be called a racist.

The proverbial “race card,” however, was not going to be played in this election – so we were told. However, it now appears that any criticism of Barack Obama is considered to be “racially motivated” by the Obama campaign and the media.

There is also increasing criticism of McCain-Palin rallies because the spin is that they are out of control and people in the “mob” are calling Barack Obama mean things. McCain supporters have been described as “insane with rage” in their opposition to an Obama Presidency. Really? I think it’s time for liberals to put on their “big-boy” panties. Has the left ever heard of free speech?

I guess the left only believes in free speech when: Madonna is bashing Sarah Palin and shrieking “I will kick her a**;” Sandra Bernhard is bashing Sarah Palin and cursing her head off with hate; producing Palin-hating artwork designating her an “M.I.L.P.” (Mother I’d Like to Punch); displaying “ABORT Sarah Palin” stickers; mocking Palin for being a nursing mom; or pointing a fake gun at the head of a Sarah Palin likeness sitting next to a cardboard cutout of her daughter in a museum display.

Yet, the media is not calling these Obama supporters “insane with rage.” No light is cast on these hate-filled activities as crossing a moral line. It is all a game of disinformation. Obama supporters feel entitled to criticize and slander the McCain campaign, but any criticism from the McCain campaign directed at Obama is ruled “out of bounds” by Obama supporters and his media lackeys. Should we really be surprised that the “race card” has now been pulled as well?

“The Road To Hell. . . .”

“Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis warned, ‘The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well meaning but without understanding.’ The freedom of individuals from compulsion or coercion never was, and is not now, the normal state of human affairs. The normal state for the ordinary person is tyranny, arbitrary control and abuse mainly by their own government. While imperfect in its execution, the founders of our nation sought to make an exception to this ugly part of mankind’s history. Unfortunately, at the urging of the American people, we are unwittingly in the process of returning to mankind’s normal state of affairs. Americans demand that Congress spend trillions of dollars on farm subsidies, business bailouts, education subsidies, Social Security, Medicare and prescription drugs and other elements of a welfare state. The problem is that Congress produces nothing. Whatever Congress wishes to give, it has to first take other people’s money. Thus, at the root of the welfare state is the immorality of intimidation, threats and coercion backed up with the threat of violence by the agents of the U.S. Congress. In order for Congress to do what some Americans deem as good, it must first do evil. It must do that which if done privately would mean a jail sentence; namely, take the property of one American to give to another… There is no question that if one were to ask whether we Americans are moving towards more liberty or more government control over our lives, the answer would unambiguously be the latter-more government control over our lives.” -Walter Williams

Plain-Spoken And Supports McCain-Palin

A Prayer Of Worship

My God, I feel it is heaven to please Thee, and to be what Thou wouldst have me be. O that I were holy as Thou art holy, pure as Christ is pure, perfect as Thy Spirit is perfect! These, I feel, are the best commands in Thy Book, and shall I break them? must I break them? am I under such a necessity as long as I live here?

Woe, woe is me that I am a sinner, that I grieve this blessed God, who is infinite in goodness and grace! O if He would punish me for my sins, it would not would my heart so deep to offend Him; But though I sin continually, He continually repeats His kindness to me.

At times I feel I could bear any suffering, but how can I dishonour this glorious God? What shall I do to glorify and worship this best of beings? O that I could consecrate my soul and body to His service, without restraint, for ever! O that I could give myself up to Him, so as never more to attempt to be my own! or have any will or affections that are not perfectly conformed to His will and His love! But, alas, I cannot live and not sin.

O may angels glorify Him incessantly, and, if possible, prostrate themselves lower before the blessed King of heaven! I long to bear a part with them in ceaseless praise; but when I have done all I can to eternity I shall not be able to offer more than a small fraction of the homage that the glorious God deserves. Give me a heart full of divine, heavenly love.

Do You Expect – A Sermon Or A Motivational Speech?

One of the big problems with modern preaching is that many, if not most who go to church, have begun to think of the sermon as a motivational speech. The people in the pews want to be given “Three Steps To Financial Success” or that “You Can Have Your Best Life Now.” Many sermons are sounding more and more like pop-psychology while talking less and less about our need for God.

Psychology and philosophy are often the foundation for the preacher’s message. Biblical illustrations are only used to maintain Christian credibility. The focus of the message is the hearer rather than the glory of God. Undiscerning pew sitters are easy prey to popular topics. These sermons fail to teach doctrine because the minister and congregation have become more interested in having emotional experiences.

Sound doctrinal teaching is put on the back-burner in order to please the audience and “tickle” ears. The culture of such churches is focused on “filling me up” rather than offering true worship to God. Such an environment hinders the growth of true Christians and gives comfort to “cultural Christians” who do not yet know Christ.
