Is Barack Obama A Marxist?
Herbert Romerstein and Cliff Kincaid are two veterans of investigations into Communist influence on the U.S. political process. They have just released two new reports on Barack Obama’s ties with extreme
anti-American elements.
Their findings raise some very serious questions about Barack Obama’s mysterious background. Their investigation concludes that:
I. Barack Obama has been influenced and backed by communists, socialists, and those sympathetic to the Arab/Palestinian cause in the Middle East.
II. Obama has connections to two international communist networks – one in Hawaii and one in Chicago.
III. The Hawaii network included communists Frank Marshall Davis, who was Obama’s personal mentor; actor/singer Paul Robeson; and labor leader Harry Bridges.
IV. Obama covered up the true identity of Frank Marshall Davis in his book, Dreams From My Father.
V. In addition to communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who were members of the Weather Underground, the Chicago network includes many veterans of the communist Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) who now proclaim themselves “Progressives for Obama.”
VI. One of the leaders of “Progressives for Obama” is former SDS leader Tom Hayden, who wrote a letter to a communist Vietnamese official during the Vietnam War hoping for a “victory” over the U.S.
VII. Several SDS officials and the SDS itself had connections to the Communist Party USA.
VIII. Ayers, who helped launch Obama’s political career, has traveled to Venezuela on several occasions and is an enthusiastic backer of the brand of communism being practiced and promoted by Hugo Chavez.
IX. Ayers’ university office door and wall are plastered with communist, anti-Israel, and pro-Hugo Chavez propaganda.
X. Bernardine Dohrn has participated in two events organized by the Open Society Institute of Obama backer and billionaire leftist George Soros.
XI. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), a group that included a convicted espionage agent for communist East Germany, backed and promoted Obama’s political career.
XII. It appears that Obama actually worked for Ayers in a Chicago educational reform program that dispensed millions of dollars of grants.
XIII. Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer, who picked Obama as her successor, has a record of involvement in communist front activities.
XIV. Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod, as well as Obama himself, have not explained why Ayers, Dohrn, then-State Senator Alice Palmer, and Dr. Quentin Young came together at the Ayers/Dohrn home to launch Obama’s political career.
XV. In 1995 Barack Obama sought out the New Party’s endorsement for his 1996 state senate run. The New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to endorse and elect leftist public officials. He was successful in obtaining that endorsement, and he used a number of New Party volunteers as campaign workers. Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America and the militant organization ACORN. The party’s Chicago chapter also included a large contingent from the Committees of Correspondence, a Marxist coalition of former Maoists, and Communist Party USA members.
Unanswered Questions

- Why did Obama spend his time studying neocolonialism and the writings of Frantz Fanon, the pro-violence author of “The Communist Manifesto of Neocolonialism”, in college?
- Why did he take time out from his studies at Columbia to attend socialist conferences at Cooper Union?”
- Why did he not give Frank M. Davis’ full name in his book?
- Why did he attend for 20 years the church of a minister who is anti-American, a racist, and supports Louis Farrakhan?

The Last listed question is the result of the first listed questions. It is usually, but certainly, not always, the locale whereby one can implement the scholastic academic accumulations of ones schooling. It is in this arena that the blossoming of the literature, the readings, the soaking in of the rhetoric, come to fruition. It is here that one takes up His or Her Cross of a life. Sadly, Mr. O chose the Marxist Social Liberation rhetoric as the pattern for his future. Even more sadly, unless the USA electorate realizes this, Mr. O will impose via the Goerge Soros OSI and his money, those exact same Social Liberation themes on the sleeping giant of the USA electorate.

You know, technically Obama’s not Marxist, but he does attract the revolutionaries to his coalition, so we need to worry about the radical inflence on his administration (if elected). I should concede, though: Sitting in the Wright pews for 20 years probably did sink in some of the black liberation communism.

Whatever label Obama answers to, it is clear that he has been influenced by people who do not see the United states as a Constitutionally limited republic as laid out by the Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution itself, and the Federalist Papers.
The left has been seeking the levers of power for over a century. The “Dumbing Down” you see in public schools and universities is the result of an orchestrated effort begun by John Dewey and W.E.B. DuBois in the early Twentieth Century. The Wilson Administration following WWI saw the inception of the Council on Foreign Relations. This group has been successful in supplying the Secretaries of State, War (Defense) and Treasury for the majority of administrations that came after, right up to the present day. Their blatantly stated goal is a One World Government.
A previous member of the F.D.Roosevelt and Truman administrations, Alger Hiss, was exposed as a Soviet agent, but only after he suceeded in writing, almost single handedly the Charter of the United Nations. He managed to include a provision that all peacekeeping operations would be headed up in New York by a member of the Soviet General Staff. This is why after the U.N. “took over” military operations in South Korea, all battle plans had to be submitted to U.N. Headquarters for approval. And it explains why all subsequent landings and offensives failed, (with the exception of the Inchon Landing-that one MacArthur refused to send).
My point is, that we have been careening toward this point in history for decades. The Soviet Union may have gone away, but does anyone believe they all became democrats in one weekend? And why did Russia continue to launch one nuclear powered submarine every 37 days after the demise of the old state if they truly had peaceful intentions?
We have to be dilligent in placing so much power in the hands of a person. this is our nation to keep or to lose, and if we are wrong, our children and grandchildren may end up living in the chains of tyranny. And for my Christian brothers and sisters out there, may i remind you that nowhere in the Bible is there a guarantee of the existence of the united states of america as a free nation! Think about it!

Samuel, thank you SO much for your efforts to seriously expose Obama and his shady background to a nation of, surprisingly, gullible people! Unfortunately, most of those ‘people’ are not reading/don’t want to know what the real truth is and therefore, not tuning into these kinds of blogs, articles, moderate/conservative/American patriotic investigations. Certainly, the press in this country is aiding and abetting the ‘new world order’ concept as shown by their absolute refusal to be ‘fair and balanced’ in reporting all sides of any issue. Liberal media/favorite son/protectionism. msn/msnbc online is just about the worst perpetrator with all their power, in your face, upon log in. Terribly biased media that is programming and manipulating any weakness, gullibility, and hope of human beings who genuinely want this country to be whole and free. The left wing radicals are as the creeping plague and have worked underground, with certain assistance and funding, and without detection or interest by the masses simply due in large part to the media’s ‘protection’ and lack of reporting their subversive activities. Now…. we have a problem, people. Hopefully, if Obama is elected, his performance will be so poor, that he will be ‘found out’, his insiders coming to the surface, his agenda manifesting itself, enough to get him impeached before he and his corrupt, power mongering, culturally biased crowd forever change the face of this country to where it can never again come back to greatness.
Cliff Kincaid and his colleagues have accused Frank Marshall Davis (1905-1987) of being a Stalinist, a lifetime member of the Communist Party, and “Obama’s Communist Mentor.” Kincaid heads “Accuracy In Media” (A.I.M.), an organization dedicated to “fairness, balance and accuracy in news reporting.” Kincaid and his colleagues are all honorable men.
Having asked Kincaid to substantiate some of his accusations, and having received no reply, one can only conclude that Kincaid must be preoccupied with more important questions, because Kincaid is an honorable man.
Although the ironically named “Accuracy In Media” has yet to substantiate that Davis actually mentored Obama (among other claims), such a relationship could have provided a bi-racial teenager with the key to success in mainstream America. To minimize criticism and maximize their potential, bi-racial African-Americans must walk a narrow identity path between group expectations. Davis was uniquely qualified to show the way. He may have significantly facilitated Obama’s vision of an inclusive society.
Davis may have advised Obama that to succeed in mainstream America, African-Americans must consider worst-case scenarios without wearing a chip on their shoulders, even though this normally requires judgment borne through actual experience. They must learn to give others (such as Cliff Kincaid) the benefit of the doubt. Success within mainstream America requires that abusive behavior should be attributed to bias only when there is no other plausible explanation.
Davis’ crusty radicalism may have perfectly counterbalanced Hawaii’s laid-back lifestyle for an African-American teenager destined for greatness. He provided coherent insight on African-American history, politics, and culture vis-à-vis mainstream America. Obama’s grandfather may not have recognized the true value of his gift.
Davis recognized the folly of cultural nationalism, including Black Separatist movements, long before meeting Obama. He supported a fully integrated mixed economy, because neither laissez–faire capitalism nor Marxist authoritarianism enable the greatest benefit for the greatest number. He also had a libertarian streak that may have made Ron Paul proud.
As an honorable man, Kincaid must be unaware that by the 1970’s, the twin forces of Hawaiian and hippie cultures had mellowed Davis to the point that “Stalinist” charges are especially absurd. By the early 1970’s, Davis had become a virtual teddy bear, a permanent fixture of the Koa Cottages in the “Waikiki Jungle,” noted for its counterculture residents. Davis was known as a kindly old man, usually sitting on his porch a few steps from Kuhio Avenue, waving at all that passed. Although he had little money, he was always willing to share with those in deeper need.
While he was justifiably bitter over the Jim Crow racism of his youth, recent decades made Davis quite optimistic regarding race relations. He strongly supported the nonviolent strategy of Dr. King, and believed that all mankind should be judged by the content of their character. He rejected militant African-American groups as counterproductive.
Kincaid and his honorable colleagues must also be unaware that although Davis shared King’s opposition to American intervention in Vietnam, he did not oppose his son’s decision to join the Air Force in 1968. His son eventually retired as an Air Force Intelligence Officer after 24 years of service, with full TS/SCI (SI/TK/G/B) access. As an honorable man, this fact alone should mitigate any concerns about “Obama’s Marxist Mentor.”
As an honorable man, Cliff Kincaid must also be unaware that his portrayal of a raving Stalinist could not be further from the truth. Davis deeply loved the United States, despite his occasional flirtation with radical ideology. He recognized, perhaps belatedly, that the United States offers a unique combination of economic opportunity and personal freedom, thus providing sufficient strength and moral authority to champion human rights worldwide. If he HAD been so lucky, Barack Obama could not have found a finer mentor anywhere.
In the summer/fall 2003 issue of “African American Review,” James A. Miller of George Washington University reviews a book by John Edgar Tidwell, a professor at the University of Kansas, about Davis’s career, and notes, “In Davis’s case, his political commitments led him to join the American Communist Party during the middle of World War II—even though he never publicly admitted his Party membership.” Tidwell is an expert on the life and writings of Davis.
Obama writes in Dreams From My Father that he saw “Frank” only a few days before he left Hawaii for college, and that Davis seemed just as radical as ever. Davis called college “An advanced degree in compromise” and warned Obama not to forget his “people” and not to “start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that ****.”
In 1950, the congressional House Un-American Activities Committee accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations. The committee concluded that the Honolulu Record “is a front for the Communist Party, despite the fact that the paper does not make this admission.” (Report at p. 12) The committee’s report on the Honolulu Record states the following about Davis:
Mr. Davis’ column defends Communists and attacks capitalism with the same vigor as columns appearing regularly in the Daily Worker and other frankly Communist publications. Typical of Mr. Davis’ remarks are the following: “Democracy today lies weak and slowly dying from the poison administered by the divident doctors in Washington and Wall Street who have fooled a trusting public into believing that they are the specialists who would save us from the dread diseases of socialism and communism. . . . They hope to hand us fascism disguised as the healed democracy.” (Honolulu Record, July 28, 1949, p. 8). Mr. Davis constantly defended the 11 top United States Communist officials recently convicted in New York on charges of conspiracy to advocate the overthrow of the Government by force and violence. One of Mr. Davis’ comments on the case was as follows : “I feel strong sympathy for the Communist minority who are being oppressed for their political beliefs.” (Honolulu Record, October 20, 1949, p. 6). When Mr. Davis’ column first appeared in the Record in May 1949, the Record boasted that the author was a member of the national executive board of the Civil Rights Congress. The organization is cited as Communist by Attorney General Tom Clark as well as by the Committee on Un-American Activities. Mr. Davis has signed a number of statements in behalf of Communists under the sponsorship of the Civil Rights Congress; one of these defended was Gerhart Eisler, notorious Communist international agent who escaped jailing for passport fraud by fleeing to the Soviet sector of Germany. Other front organizations of the Communist Party with which Mr. Davis has associated include : American Youth for Democracy, Abraham Lincoln School, National Federation for Constitutional Liberties, League of American Writers, the National Negro Congress, and the Hawaii Civil Liberties Committee.
