Schools To Promote Homosexual Lifestyle

“For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.  Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.  Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.  For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions.  For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.  And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.  They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice.” (Romans 1:21-29)

The American Family Association reports that on Friday, April 25, thousands of schools across America will be observing the “Day of Silence (DOS)” which is a nationwide promotion of the homosexual lifestyle in schools.  The American Family Association and other family-oriented groups are urging parents to keep their children at home that day if their local school is participating in the DOS project.

DOS is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) which encourages students to believe that every person who is a homosexual, bisexual or cross-dresser is a victim of ongoing, unrelenting harassment and hate.  DOS teaches students that homosexuality is a worthy lifestyle, has few or no risks, and individuals are born homosexual and cannot change. Those who oppose such teaching are characterized by GLSEN as being ignorant and hateful bigots.

Below is a partial list of schools in North Carolina which are expected to participate in DOS.  Click here for the national list.  If your school is listed, call your local school and ascertain whether they officially or passively allow students to observe “Day of Silence.”  If your school is listed, please double-check with your local school to see if the school is actually sponsoring DOS.  Sometimes the “participation” turns out to be a handful of kids who are saying they have a homosexual club and are observing this protest day, but without school endorsement.  If your school is listed, but is not actually an official sponsor, the American Family Association will take them off the list if a school official asks them to do so. Please e-mail your correction to webmaster@missionamerica.com.

If you believe that homosexual behavior is not an innate identity; but a sinful, unnatural and destructive behavior. If you believe that no school should advance a physically, emotionally, and spiritually destructive sexual lifestyle to students – notify the school of your intention to keep your child home on that date and explain why. Click here for a sample letter.
